The years immediately following World War II showed the world that America had come into its own and was a force to be reckoned with. For those of us who entered the world at this time, the mantle was passed to us with the responsibility to drive America forward.
And yet it was also still a time of innocence; a time when children were allowed to be children; when we grew from innocence to adulthood with the help and direction of our parents, but we were charged with taking on the leadership that was cast upon us.
