I’ve been writing about my children since they were 9, 7 and 4. We’ve gone from party bags and the nativity play to teenage angst and leaving home. Over the course of this year I’ll be publishing all my 800 newspaper columns in a series of 7 full-length books.
‘Best Dad, the Beginning’ is an to that series. It starts as my daughter proclaims that, “George’s party bag was absolutely rubbish” and ends as we drop our eldest son off at university and bid him a tearful – but short – goodbye.
