It was the late 1940s, a time when life seemed to be slowly recovering from the devastating effects of World War II. The world was finding its footing again, but not without its fair share of troubles and hardships. In the midst of this challenging period, my brother embarked on a journey that would forever change our family's life.

A Promising Start

My brother, John, was a charismatic and ambitious young man. With his dashing looks and an insatiable thirst for adventure, he was well-liked by everyone in our small town. He dreamed of making a name for himself and was determined to rise above the struggles that came with living in a post-war era.

An Unforeseen Twist

However, fate had other plans in store for him. Just as he was settling into his new life, tragedy struck. John found himself wrongfully accused of a crime he did not commit. The evidence was stacked against him, and there seemed to be no way to prove his innocence.

The days turned into weeks, and weeks into months as my brother battled to clear his name. Behind the scenes, he faced a web of corruption, deceit, and power play that threatened to derail any chance of justice. It was a fight against a system that seemed rigged against him - a David versus Goliath battle for the truth.

A Journey of Resilience

Determined not to let his spirit be broken, John embarked on a journey of resilience like no other. He tirelessly sought out evidence, interviewed witnesses, and connected the dots that would expose the truth. His unwavering determination became an inspiration for those who believed in his innocence.

As the days turned into months, and months turned into years, my brother's fight against the unjust system revealed shocking layers of corruption at the highest levels. The story began to garner public attention, and people from all walks of life rallied behind him, demanding justice.

A Turn of Events

Finally, after years of perseverance, my brother's unwavering fight paid off. The truth was laid bare, and the real culprits behind the crime were exposed. It was a bittersweet victory, for while justice was served, the toll it took on my brother's life was immeasurable.

The late 1940s had come to an end, and my brother emerged from the battle scarred but triumphant. His story became a symbol of resilience, highlighting the flaws of a system capable of causing immense harm to innocent lives. We must never forget the lessons learned from this untold story, for they serve as a reminder of the importance of standing up for what is right. The late 1940s may have been a turbulent time, but through my brother's extraordinary journey, we find hope for a better future.

THIS IS A BOOK FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE
We need to make it clear from the outset that there never was any intent to harm anyone let alone a brother (Unless, the odd scuffle counts, then maybe just a tiny bit of discomfort was due.)

I am sure you have all at some time ranted to one of your siblings “Do that again and I’ll kill you.” Hence the book title.

Although homicide was out of the question, there are many instances when the daily escapades of these three brothers could have resulted in the demise of any one, if not all of them, such was the nature of many of their ill-conceived reckless escapades. In fact, they are very fortunate to have survived at all given their parents from time to time also made unwitting attempts to wipe the family out.

This book is a series of short stories, many hilarious, some tearful, others heart stopping, but all are totally true.

They cover a period in the authors lives during which time they plummeted from their over indulged affluent lifestyle to drop to one of abject poverty. Falling from the cosseted benefits of comparative wealth to then endure true hardship.

Added to the family’s continual unfolding woes their parents were forced to endure; their out-of-control children, some ill-chosen ‘friends’, several calamitous unforeseen disasters, and far too many ruinous financial decisions. And while we’re in the mood for slandering the family, we outline the unconventional and somewhat shady methods their parents often undertook in a bid to survive this era in time.

Her little boys were bad. Our teacher was awesome. This is for little boys. Naughty boys don’t get better. Screaming will not help. For little boys and girls. Boys being silly. Boys do it a lot. What will I do all day? Looking over the top. My brother is an awesome guy. 10 reasons why you will. Don’t want an argument with you. The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know
